Vision Statement: In a time of rapidly-accelerating change in research (e.g., developments in remote monitoring and use of social media) there is a need for education to address new challenges: a place to foster professional development and provide a venue where questions can be asked and answered, and peer relationships developed. SOCRA supports all types of research professionals by providing opportunities for learning and professional growth. My background provides a platform to see this vision become reality. As co-founder/co-chair of a local SOCRA Chapter I have experienced firsthand the SOCRA mission of providing continuing education to promote quality clinical research and to protect the welfare of research participants. As a member of the Board of Directors for the past five years, I have been able to contribute to the strategic growth and development of our organization. In 2015, I co-organized and co-chaired our first annual Oncology Clinical Trials Conference. As President, I would welcome the opportunity to continue developing these types of educational programs and opportunities. I would like to enhance the SOCRA Chapter Program to allow all members, no matter their geographical location, local access to quality continuing education at no additional cost. I am honored to be nominated as a candidate for President of SOCRA. Thank you for casting your vote.

I will continue to support SOCRA’s mission and serve the members through the development of new affordable educational opportunities which helps members navigate the global research industry as it evolves in the technology and regulatory landscape. I am honored to be nominated for the office of Secretary. Thank you for your consideration

SOCRA offers a supportive and educational environment for members to increase their knowledge of clinical research and expand their professionalism through networking and speaking opportunities. With over 20 years of clinical research experience with industry and the federal government, I have gained experience in leading global clinical trials, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, contract management, GCP training and team collaboration. Vision Statement: I am honored to be nominated to serve on the SOCRA Board of Directors. I believe education empowers people to be outstanding in both their personal lives and professional careers. During my service as Chairperson of the Arkansas SOCRA Chapter, I have witnessed SOCRA’s commitment to this same idea and have seen the tremendous benefits of offering free, widely available research education. By serving on the Board of Directors, I will strive to continue this mission by reaching out to the newest members of the clinical research workforce and contributing to an even more robust support system for the elite group of research professionals in the SOCRA organization.

I believe a strong educational program is important to the success of SOCRA as it provides useful information for people involved in clinical research at all levels of experience. I would like to further develop interactions between SOCRA and the FDA at the annual meetings and in regional training sessions. I believe the foundation provided by SOCRA facilitates patient safety in clinical trials, and I would like to enhance the training programs offered by SOCRA through my service on the SOCRA Board of Directors
