"Vacutainer hematology - choosing the right color for clinical testing and clinical trials "

EDUCATION:  

Dr. Andrew Freiberg is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist in Hershey, Pennsylvania and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area. He received his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1983 and completed his residency of Pediatrics at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, CA (1986). Dr. Freiberg completed his fellowship at Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1992. He has been a professor at the Penn State University for more than 25 years, half the time the Medical Center has existed. Dr. Freiberg is active participant in the Four Diamonds pediatric foundation program and has been recipient of patient experience and care Cubby award in 2016. Dr. Freiberg is a clinical councilor for the Penn State faculty and the principal investigator for a Phase I clinical trial at PSHCH.

  • The importance of specimens  for clinical trials
  • What are different colors tube tops used for
  • How to avoid common mistakes in specimen collection
