Dacia Christin, Clinical Research Program Manager, has over nine years of experience managing and coordinating clinical, epidemiological, and qualitative studies at CRAB, an oncology clinical research organization. With a master’s in public health and fluency in four languages, Dacia specializes in international scientific collaborations. As part of her role at CRAB, she currently works with a National Cancer Institute cooperative group research base advocating for inclusion of Latin American institutions in the trial enrollment process. She also provides education for clinical research staff recruiting non-English speaking populations.

Topics will include:

  • Use of short and long form consents in languages other than English
  • Developing institutional consent policies for limited or non-English speaking populations
  • Challenges and opportunities for recruitment and retention

There will also be an open exchange for attendees to share their experiences and learn from each other.

Whether you are new to working across language/cultural barriers or have extensive experience in this area, we welcome your attendance and encourage active discussion.

Please join this collaborative session focused on improving engagement with non-English speaking patients.
