Vision Statement: During my time on the SOCRA Board of Directors, my efforts have been focused on making the organization the best possible for its members. Education and accessibility to that education are key drivers to ensuring high quality clinical research professionals. Networking within all aspects of SOCRA has allowed me to gather valuable feedback and take it to the Board for consideration and implementation. Through chairing the local (and only) Chapter in Illinois, facilitating the certification exam, and networking with conference participants, I am able to effectively and proudly represent the members of SOCRA. I am engaged in ensuring the strategic plan is successful, and SOCRA continues to offer new conference tracks and programs. I am honored to have been nominated as a candidate for President of SOCRA. Thank you for allowing me to represent you on the Board of Directors. I appreciate the opportunities I have been given to serve within the organization and would appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve in the role of President.

Vision Statement: As the Chairperson of the Boston SOCRA Chapter, my primary focus is on increasing area members’ access to timely and appealing continuing education and professional networking opportunities. I work closely with a committed group of Boston Chapter Education Committee Members to identify topics and presenters, and grow the chapter. Involvement in other professional activities outside my primary employment gives me invaluable access to knowledgeable professionals at world-renowned area academic medical institutions, as well as in the clinical research private sector. Since assuming the Boston Chapter chairperson role, I have worked closely with the Western (Springfield) MA SOCRA chapter to provide remote Boston meeting access to their membership multiple times each year. Most recently I have collaborated with membership at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to expand remote meeting access at that location.

I am both honored and excited to be considered for a position on the Board of Directors. The increased responsibility and visibility of the role will support my engagement in a broad range of activities furthering the SOCRA mission of providing education, certification, and networking opportunities to all persons involved in clinical research activities.
