Vision Statement

Through my long career as both emergency clinician and researcher, I have accrued a wealth of experience in translational research, bringing findings from my research into the Emergency Department (ED), and generating new studies from my day to day work as a clinician. As a pediatric emergency physician at a high-volume emergency department with an active emergency medicine residency program, I have been surrounded for years by unique medical cases and the opportunity to mentor young investigators in pediatric research. Through my experience, I have become especially interested in process improvement for better outcomes in the ED. In addition to training new physicians and scientists, in my administrative capacity in the pediatric emergency department I have helped to develop strategies for improving systems across clinical disciplines. I look forward to bringing all of this experience to SOCRA and to the board of directors.
