Vision Statement

It is tremendous honor to be nominated for President Elect. In 2004 I was invited to present at the SOCRA/FDA co-sponsored regulatory conference and found the program to be inspirational in its focus on providing quality programs to Clinical Research professionals. Since then, I have been privileged to serve as a SOCRA speaker, journal author, member of the Annual Conference Program Planning Committee, and member of the SOCRA Board of Directors.

My experiences with FDA and Rutgers University are very relevant to the mission of SOCRA- that of providing high quality education and training opportunities for the clinical research community. As Rutgers faculty, I develop courses that provide relevant information critical to a clinical research professional’s success. At FDA, I contributed to US and global clinical research training programs, the development of FDA guidances and policies related to clinical research, and conducted inspections and compliance reviews of clinical research facilities.

My experiences in management are likewise important to the President elect -to serve as a leader and collaborator with organizations committed to advancing clinical research best practices and strategies. At FDA I served in multiple management positions that required extensive knowledge and application of global GCP requirements, and good management skills. If elected as President elect, I promise to serve the SOCRA membership, the Board of Directors, and SOCRA staff to ensure SOCRA achieves its vision that clinical research fully protects research participants with excellence, quality, and professionalism.   I sincerely thank you for your support of SOCRA and for casting your vote!
