Course Title:  Research Investigational Drugs:  Working with the Investigational Pharmacy

Summary: The research pharmacist is an important member of the research team.  This presentation will cover clinical research studies that use investigational drugs and working with the investigational pharmacy during the planning, start-up, conduct, and closure of these investigations. 


Learning Objectives:

1. To gain a better understanding of investigational drugs, INDs and the FDA 1572

2. To define roles and responsibilities of the investigational pharmacy in the conduct of a study using an investigational drug.

3. To outline the process for working with the investigational pharmacy in study start-up, conduct and closure, with a focus on VA and other regulatory requirements for record management.

Length of course:  1 hour

Credit: SOCRA members may claim 1 CE towards SOCRA Recertification. SOCRA members will receive a certificate of attendance.
