Welcome to the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding human research subjects and advancing global health through education, certification, and a collaborative platform for research professionals.
In 2020, we redefined our vision to encapsulate our aspirations for the future of clinical research. We envision a world where every research participant is fully protected, and every endeavor in clinical research is marked by excellence, quality, and professionalism.
Originally focused on supporting site-based personnel, SOCRA's membership now encompasses a diverse community of monitors, project managers, quality assurance experts, and regulatory representatives from academia, industry, research centers, and regulatory agencies. Our mission is to provide a dynamic forum for members to enhance their clinical research expertise, fostering the foundation for successful research outcomes. We encourage all clinical research professionals to unite, share knowledge, and engage in our educational initiatives.
Membership in SOCRA offers numerous advantages, including:
We encourage you to consider your future in clinical research, become a SOCRA member, set your sights on certification, and participate in our educational programs. Our Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) Certification program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE).
Furthermore, SOCRA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™). We are also accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Alongside CNE and CME credits, all our courses and conferences offer SOCRA CE credits to members.
At SOCRA, we value your input and participation. My door is always open, and I invite anyone interested in joining or expanding their involvement in our vibrant Society to reach out to me through the SOCRA office.
