The Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) is a rigorous program designed to meet the needs of health care professionals engaged in the full spectrum of patient-oriented research as well as students that are interested in clinical research coordination and management. Our mission is to provide students with a rigorous academic experience, hands-on exposure to, and practical experience in clinical research. MSCR graduates will be well prepared to enter the workforce as completely trained research professionals.
Degree coursework, offered full or part-time, covers aspects of clinical trial methodology and regulatory sciences, as well as an immersion in the use of medical bioinformatics and associated metadata to perform big-data analyses. The didactic portion of this program can be completed in one year. Students can choose to participate in an Internship/Practicum, or Independent Study in Clinical Research in addition to their capstone/thesis research project.

The clinical research field is a new, stimulating, and innovative career choice with many job opportunities. As the development of drug and medical devices increases, there is a need for scientifically trained professionals to coordinate research studies.
This program will give you an understanding of the landscape of clinical research including the duties of the following roles: clinical research associate (CRA), clinical research coordinator (CRC), data specialist, subject recruiter, research billing officer, compliance administrator, and other specialties. Our Clinical Research Certificate Program includes a rigorous curriculum to prepare you for today's competitive marketplace.
All instructors are currently working in the topic area they are teaching. They work at organizations including: Boston Children's Hospital, Takeda, Harvard School of Public Health, Centrexion Therapeutics, ImmunoGen, EMD Serono, Epizyme, Propel Careers, Moderna, Medidata.
All courses can be completed in less than three months or you can spread them out over two years. This is a Continuing Education program; it does not have an application process, and offers contact hours.
