The Waldron College of Health and Human Services, Department of Public Health and Healthcare Leadership at Radford University Carilion offers a Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSHS) with a concentration in Clinical Research Administration. Radford University Carilion is a vibrant interprofessional healthcare learning community located in downtown Roanoke, Virginia within Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital.
The MSHS graduate program is available 100% online. It includes 36 credits with five courses in the Clinical Research Administration concentration:

Essentials of Clinical Data Management and Electronic Data Capture (EDC)
Join industry professionals for a 14-week interactive and hands-on course that will provide you with the skills to effectively integrate into a variety of clinical data management and electronic data capture design roles.
Using a combination of in class training and REDCap – an EDC system used in over 5600 non-profit institutions worldwide – you will learn key skills central to data management activities, from design and development of an effective EDC program for clinical researchers, industry requirements and documentation, and data handling concepts.

Course topics include:
- What is clinical data management and why is it more important than ever?
- Gathering requirements and understanding database specifications
- How to build and test a robust REDCap database based on a clinical trial protocol
- Data management plans and why you need them
- Other essential data management principles including data handling and reporting, user management, study data coding and the other key skills to help you become an effective data manager.
- Study Data Analysis and Submission or Reporting
- Previous experience with clinical research principles is required to fully benefit from the program and students are expected to have a firm grasp of ICH-GCP prior to starting the course.

Rush Graduate College Chicago MS in Clinical Research
The Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) is a rigorous program designed to meet the needs of health care professionals engaged in the full spectrum of patient-oriented research as well as students that are interested in clinical research coordination and management. Our mission is to provide students with a rigorous academic experience, hands-on exposure to, and practical experience in clinical research. MSCR graduates will be well prepared to enter the workforce as completely trained research professionals.
Degree coursework, offered full or part-time, covers aspects of clinical trial methodology and regulatory sciences, as well as an immersion in the use of medical bioinformatics and associated metadata to perform big-data analyses.
