Overview: This talk explores experiences engaging rural moms in breastfeeding and nutrition research, highlighting both challenges and successes in recruitment and community entry. Lessons learned around building trust, navigating local dynamics, and
tailoring strategies for effective and respectful engagement with rural populations.

Objectives:

  1. Identify effective and ineffective strategies for community entry and
    participant recruitment in rural settings.
  2. Examine the role of trust and relationship-building in fostering long-term
    research partnerships with rural communities.
