Title / Topic:      Utilizing the Electronic Health Record and REDCap for Screening and Recruitment in Weight-Loss Trial

Objective(s):

• Understand how existing EHR data and automated self-reported survey instruments can be leveraged to identify, recruit, and screen clinical trial participants
• Using an ongoing weight-loss trial as a case-study, identify and discuss the advantages of this approach in the context of reduced funding and personnel resources
• Compare and contrast this approach to the results from more traditional recruitment strategies used in other trials

Continuing Education (CE): SOCRA members may claim 1.0 CE credit per hour of education. SOCRA members will receive Certificates of Attendance at the completion of the event.

From I-40 Business/US 421 N (westbound) toward Kernersville/Winston-Salem Downtown. Continue onto I-40 Business West/US-421 North. Take exit 6B to US 52 North. Remain on the ramp to exit immediately to Martin Luther King Jr Drive. Turn left at the stoplight at the end of the ramp. After crossing back under US 52, take the first left onto Research Parkway. Take the first right onto 7th Street and Patterson Avenue/BioTech Place will be ahead on your left. Limited street parking is available on a first come-first serve basis.
