Title: Advancing Ethical Research: Collaboration and Innovation in a Changing Research Landscape

Speaker: Ivy R. Tillman, EdD, CIP, Executive Director, Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R)

Description: The research landscape is evolving rapidly due to changing federal priorities and policies, as well as the emergence of new technologies. These developments affect the daily operations of the research enterprise, influencing each component responsible for innovation, design, implementation, and oversight. Effective partnerships and collaborations within the research enterprise are essential for advancing ethical research and practices that benefit the public.

Objectives:

  • Analyze how shifting federal priorities and emerging technologies are impacting the research enterprise.
  • Discuss the importance of effective partnerships and collaborations within the research enterprise to advance ethical research and practices.
  • Identify practical approaches for research enterprise stakeholders to consider as they respond to a changing landscape and build trustworthy systems.

Continuing Education (CE): SOCRA members who meet the required minimum of 50 minutes of attendance for a one-hour meeting will receive 1 CEU. The SOCRA Executive Office will email certificates to eligible members.
