Dear SOCRA Members and Colleagues,

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as President of an organization that has long been recognized for its commitment to excellence, integrity, and leadership in clinical research. SOCRA represents a diverse and dedicated community of professionals who play a critical role in advancing science, protecting research participants, and upholding the highest standards of ethical practice.

For more than two decades, SOCRA has supported clinical research professionals through education, certification, and professional development. Our strength lies in our members — individuals whose expertise, dedication, and passion continue to shape the future of clinical research across settings and communities worldwide.

As President, my vision is to continue building on SOCRA’s longstanding tradition of excellence while preparing our organization and our members for the evolving challenges of clinical research. This includes strengthening support for our diverse membership, fostering innovation and leadership, and ensuring that equity, integrity, and informed advocacy remain central to everything we do.

Clinical research does not exist in isolation. It is deeply connected to the communities we serve. Advancing equity means broadening access, representation, and opportunity within research. Upholding integrity means maintaining rigorous standards, transparency, and accountability. Advocacy means elevating the voice of our profession and ensuring that the value of clinical research — and those who carry it out — is clearly understood and respected. Together, these principles guide SOCRA as we bridge gaps and promote excellence across the research enterprise.
