Nominations
We are seeking dedicated, diverse, and mission-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors. We welcome nominations from individuals across backgrounds and industries who are committed to governance excellence and advancing our impact.
If you believe in our work and want to contribute at the leadership level, we encourage you to nominate yourself.
The Nominating Committee will review all nominations and put forward a slate of candidates for the Board of Directors election.
Candidate Eligibility:
- In order to be eligible for consideration, a potential candidate must be a member of SOCRA for at least two years.
- Candidate has demonstrated a commitment to the mission of SOCRA.
- Candidate has displayed active participation within the SOCRA organization.
All candidates for the Board must adhere to the Campaign Guidelines.
Submit your Nomination
To nominate a member for consideration in the upcoming election, please complete the Nomination Application survey. Nominations must be submitted by end of day March 15, 2026.
2026 Timeline
- February 16-March 15, 2026: Nominations Open
- March 23-27, 2026: Candidates Notified
- April 1-30, 2026: Election Open
- May 2026: Results Announced
Descriptions of Board Positions
President-Elect
- Three year obligation.
- The President-elect moves on to President and to Immediate Past President
- The recommended individual must hold a current Board position
Treasurer
- Position is on ballot in alternating years with Secretary position
- Two year term
- The recommended individual must hold a current Board position
Secretary
- Position is on ballot in alternating years with Treasurer position
- Two year term
- The recommended individual must hold a current Board position
Director
- Three year term
- Recommended individual must have been a member in good standing for the previous two years
