Research and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA): Regs, Requirements, and How to Stay Out of Trouble

Learning Objectives:

1. Outline the regulatory framework for utilizing controlled substances in research
2. Describe the responsibilities that go along with that use
3. Relay a few cautionary tales (names/locations changed to protect the “foolish”)
4. Give resources in case you run into issues/have questions

CE: SOCRA members may claim one CE credit for each hour of educational programming attended. In accordance with SOCRA accreditation standards, members must attend a minimum of 50 minutes of a one-hour session to qualify for 1 CEU. CE certificates are generally distributed within 10 business days following the event.
