1. Learn about the “All of Us” Research Program, the goal of which is to build one of the largest, most comprehensive biomedical data resources that can be used by researchers to gain insights into the genetic, environmental and behavioral factors influencing health.
2. Discuss Dr. Collins’ experience building and sustaining authentic engagement.
3. Examine the benefits of this program for both participants and researchers.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the purpose, design, and key differences of Phase I clinical trials compared to later-phase studies.
2. Evaluate common Phase I trial designs, including traditional and adaptive models, and their implications for patient safety and dose escalation.
3. Identify the unique operational, regulatory, and ethical challenges of Phase I trials and the role of the clinical research team in ensuring patient safety and data integrity.
