Animal Models in Biomedical Research: Non-human Primates

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review Rules and Regulations Governing Animal Use in Biomedical Research
  2. Characterize the non-human primate model including taxonomy, appropriate model selection, acquisition, handling, housing, and research techniques
  3. Provide examples of disease or conditions and the related non-human primate models
  4. Discuss risks, drawbacks and benefits

CE: SOCRA members may claim one CE credit for each hour of educational programming attended. In accordance with SOCRA accreditation standards, members must attend a minimum of 50 minutes of a one-hour session to qualify for 1 CEU. CE certificates are generally distributed within 10 business days following the event.
