Title: "Why Inclusion and Health Equity Matters in Clinical Research"
With advancements in biomedical research, the conduct of inclusive research can reduce bias and improve outcomes for the benefit of society as a whole. Diversity enhances the depth and complexity of research. Ms. Wintering will discuss the historical, social and cultural indicators and consequences of inequality in clinical research.
Learning Objectives: By the conclusion of this program, individuals shall be able to:
- Identify barriers to inclusion in study design and implementation.
- Develop strategies to promote ethical, inclusive practices in clinical research.
