Title / Topic: “Is The Investigator Ultimately Responsible?” / Research Misconduct

Speaker (including credentials and affiliation): Wendy Lloyd BA, LPN, CCRP Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Overview: The speaker will present a case study where not only the PI was held accountable, but the entire study team was also. Hear what happened to a research organization who entered into agreements with pharmaceutical companies sponsors, to conduct clinical trials of pharmaceutical drugs for public consumption, and then choose not to follow applicable FDA regulations and other standards set by the sponsoring agencies.

Objective(s): Discuss the responsibilities associated with the administration of clinical trials.

Continuing Education (CE): SOCRA members may claim 1.0 CE credit per hour of education. SOCRA members will receive Certificates of Attendance at the completion of the event.
