Dr. Michael G. MacLean, Ph.D. is an Associate professor of Psychology at SUNY Buffalo State. His primary focus as a research scientist has been understanding the etiology and prevention of substance-related problems in adolescents and young adults, including focus on impulsivity, self-regulation, and identity development. Dr. MacLean does extensive consulting and collaboration with mental health and health agencies in the community, addressing program development and evaluation and staff training.

In this presentation, Dr. MacLean will be providing an overview of the Focus on Consequences for Adolescents (FOCA) program, an indicated community program aimed at preventing and reducing substance-related problems in youths aged 14-21.
