The Clinical Significance of Assessing Abnormalities: To AE, SAE or Neither?

Jeannie has over 21 years of experience in roles such as clinical research coordinator, manager, contractor, consultant, trainer, monitor and is now functioning as a Clinical Scientist. With experience in working on both drug and device clinical trials, she has predominant experience in study startup, protocol procurement, trial operations, quality management, staff training, and is currently focused on safety analyses.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this seminar, attendees will have an increased knowledge of:

  1. To better understand assessment abnormalities against the subject’s overall health and impact on study involvement
  2. To gain better clarity on “clinically significant” vs. “not clinically significant”
  3. To appreciate how and when abnormalities should be considered AEs or SAEs
