Speaker:  Bran LeFae, Associate Director, Head of Health Literacy Communication, Medical Writing at Seattle Genetics

Bran LeFae is the Head of the Health Literacy Communication group in Medical Writing at Seagen Inc. They have over 25 years of professional experience that includes clinical and bench research, plain language and regulatory writing, regulatory affairs, small business management, and community leadership. Bran is an expert in health literacy communication, with over 10 years of teaching and advocating for plain language writing. Their passion for equity has led them to develop this expertise, which includes an in-depth knowledge of the informed consent form.

Objectives:  After this presentation, participants should:

1. Have a basic understanding of health literacy
2. Be familiar with plain language techniques for writing and editing
3. Have access to additional resources to continue to learn about this topic
