Become an Education Committee Member

The SOCRA Education Committee provides strategic oversight, guidance, and quality assurance for SOCRA’s educational portfolio, including the Annual Conference, continuing education offerings, and professional development initiatives. Serving in an advisory capacity to the SOCRA Board of Directors, the Committee helps ensure educational programs align with SOCRA’s mission, values, and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing strategic input on educational frameworks and learning objectives

  • Advising on Annual Conference themes, tracks, session selection criteria, and workshops

  • Supporting continuing education quality, accreditation, and compliance

  • Reviewing educational outcomes and recommending program improvements

  • Upholding confidentiality and conflict-of-interest standards

Time Commitment & Term Length:
Committee members serve staggered three-year terms (with a two-term maximum) and meet at least quarterly. Members collaborate virtually and contribute outside of meetings as needed to support committee initiatives.

2026 Focus:
As the Committee is newly established, its primary focus in 2026 will be oversight of the SOCRA Annual Conference. Oversight of additional educational programming will transition fully to the Committee following the Annual Conference.
