Advanced Site Management: Finance and Productivity Enhanced Business Practices for Clinical Research Programs


Andrew Snyder, MBA, FACMPE, PMP

Andrew Snyder, MBA, PMP, FACMPE, has 18 years of experience in conducting and managing clinical research. Andrew began his career in clinical research as a principal investigator conducting topical antimicrobial trials. He was the director of the research program at the St. Paul Heart Clinic for 10 years; and now is the director of the cardiovascular research program at the HealthEast HeartCare Clinic.

Andrew is a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a certified Project Management Professional. He is also a faculty member at Metropolitan State University teaching project management and clinical research.

Jim Simmer, MBA, BSN

Jim Simmer is founder and President of Research Answers, a clinical research consulting company whose mission is to assist physicians in developing clinical research programs based on sound structure, consistency, efficiency, and accountability. Prior to founding Performance Research, Jim held positions as a Clinical Research Associate, then project manager in the pharmaceutical industry. After obtaining his MBA from Temple University, he was Research Director within a large medical center as well as a physician private practice.

Beth Jorgenson, BSN, MBA, CCRC

As Clinical Trials Program Manager at HealthEast Care System, Beth Jorgenson seeks out opportunities for interested investigators to participate in the clinical trial process. Her team provides many of the necessary resources for trial implementation and helps to find other needed resources.  Ms. Jorgenson is also the primary trial coordinator for complex medical device and drug trials at the site.
