Mr. Bussmann, MPH, MBA, CCRP, is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Director for Research in Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) School of Medicine. He began his career in clinical research as a research assistant in 2010 and became a clinical research manager in 2012. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Research, co-founded the HSC Research Staff Network and instructs the Research In Acute Care course track taught through the UNM HSC Emergency Medical Services Academy. Mr. Bussmann’s primary focus is on human subjects research education, research workforce development and research management in emergency medical settings and busies himself most days in the mentorship of undergraduates, medical students, medical residents and early stage investigators in the performance of high quality human subjects research in the clinical setting.
