As explained by his colleagues, Varun consistently makes significant contributions towards the clinical research conducted at Mount Sinai by helping with the data safety and monitoring and quality assurance for numerous industry sponsored and investigator initiated studies and trials. As stated by one of his colleagues, “Since Varun’s arrival, he has single-handedly computerized the review process making it seamless; and has managed the committee, which has now doubled in size, due to his diligence.
