SOCRA 2022 Year in Review & What to Expect in 2023

As 2022 draws to a close, we’re proud to recognize the year’s activities, accomplishments, and progress as we prepare to welcome the New Year ahead. We invite you to join us in reflecting on 2022 and looking ahead to what you can expect in 2023.

SOCRA 2022 Year in Review

In 2022, we continued to adapt to the COVID pandemic, implementing virtual and other technologies to assure continuity of education, certification, training, and collaboration among our clinical research community.

We understand that balancing work, home, and professional development has put a tremendous stress on clinical research professionals. In an effort to support our membership and the clinical research community, SOCRA continued to offer Computer Based Testing (which includes Home Proctoring) to allow individuals to sit for the CCRP® exam at over 600 testing centers worldwide or in the comfort of their homes.  Learn more about the certification program here.

We also continued to publish a web-based version of the SOCRA SOURCE Journal for that we launched when the pandemic began.  Log in to the new and improved member educational portal to access current and past issues along with the SOCRA self-studies for free CE credit.  We also added a link to the SOCRA blog on our website in 2022 for greater access to helpful and engaging clinical research resources on ethics, trial management, compliance, and dozens of other interesting topics.

We hosted the 2022 Annual Conference on a dynamic virtual platform that allowed attendees to enjoy a personal and connective experience through live chat, live question-and-answer sessions, and other virtual networking opportunities. The focus of 2022’s gathering was education-rich programming with a particular emphasis on research subject enrollment equity, enrollment issues, and the importance of including diverse patient populations in the early phases of investigational research.  Free videos of the opening and closing plenary sessions are available on our website here.

Following is a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished together this year:
